Deepika leads Community at Blume, where she spearheads community initiatives and forges partnerships. She collaborates closely with Blume’s founders and CXOs to facilitate their access to premium deals, discounts, and exclusive privileges, foster connections with key stakeholders, and curate tailored learning and development sessions. Prior to this, she was the Head of Corporate Development, India, at Headstart Network Foundation—India’s largest startup community. Actively involved in the startup ecosystem since 2015, she loves engaging with entrepreneurs and helping them grow. Deepika is an alumna of Christ College and Christ University, where she completed her undergraduate degree in Business Management in 2014. During college, she co-founded an event photography and a waste management company.

  • Earned the title of: ‘Backbone of Headstart’ by being the only full time executive at Headstart for close to 1.5 years. I then went on to add more Rockstar team members to my team and eventually had a 5 member executive team, who transitioned from interns to employees.
  • Developed and managed relationships with over 100 well-known partners from across India and abroad, ensuring a continued relationship and repeat engagements with almost all partners. These partners included various stakeholders of the startup ecosystem like the Government, Corporate Innovation Heads, Startup Founders, academicians, Accelerator and Incubator Heads, Investors etc.
  • During the challenging COVID times, I worked closely with the core team to transition to a more virtual world, and worked on initiative development and long-term strategy that was more sustainable.
  • Planned activities for all Volunteers, to improve their experience & growth, & to reduce attrition.
  • Worked with teams remotely to execute small and big events. The audience size in these events ranged
  • from 20 people to 700+ people, and were a mix of virtual and non-virtual events.
  • I was part of the execution team that expanded Headstart to 25 cities from 8 cities (in July 2016).
