I have been working as a Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai. I have around 37 years of teaching and research experience. I am also a visiting professor at the University College London (UCL), London, the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), Preston, and the National Institute of Agriculture Marketing. I am the Co-Chair of DEI of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. My research interests are in the fields of environmental economics, development economics and agricultural economics and in particular vulnerability assessment of climate change and adaptation in agriculture, coastal areas, health issues due to arsenic in drinking water, social entrepreneurship, valuation of intangibles, growth and environment.
