About

Who am I, and why am I here? What I've learned across many jobs and starting new ventures is that the answer changes depending on the context. Everyone wears many hats during our lives, and decisions depend on which hat we are wearing at the time of the decision. As a partner in The Rewired Group, I help companies understand the consumer journey through the consumer lens. I do this using a product development framework - called Jobs to be Done (JTBD) - that enables you to understand why people behave the way they do. For us, JTBD doesn't end with just understanding the demand side; we also help unpack the supply side. When we have both the demand and supply "unpacked," we work with our clients to shape products that work for both the consumer and the company. Jobs-To-Be-Done taught me that to build products or services, you must seek to understand what context and outcomes your customers expect when they chose to use your product. Since consumers circumstances change, so do their Jobs to be Done, and the criteria on which they base their satisfaction with your products or services. Ultimately, I am a consultant, coach, and mentor working to help you understand and learn how to innovate and integrate both sides of the demand and supply equation.

  • The Re-Wired Group is a product & service development consultancy that delivers top line growth, with a simple approach, deep capability and outcome-based business model. Clients have referred to us as an Innovation Incubator – uncovering deep insights, nurturing and developing ideas, getting them ready and launching them into the real world. We address our clients’ most important problems & objectives as well as commercial opportunities through the creation and commercialization of new products, services, brands and businesses.
  • Demand-Side Innovation™
  • At the core of our success is the concept of Demand-Side-Innovation. Demand-Side Innovation is based on a belief that consumers have jobs-do-be-done both in business and consumer markets. Products and services fit into peoples’ lives by doing those jobs better than the other options available to the person, and people hire and fire products and services based on how well they perform.
  • New products and services introduced into the market and into peoples’ lives (through marketing) are candidates to be hired. Jobs are formed in people’s minds based on:
  • 1. The situation the person is in at the point of purchase;
  • 2. What progress the person is trying to achieve;
  • 3. The anxiety the change creates in the mind of the consumer;
  • 4. The allegiance to the old way of doing things.
  • By understanding the combination of these factors, we are able to create a demand generation model, which enables us to find many different market opportunities that are not obvious. Our clients have referred to it as having “night vision goggles” for marketing and product development opportunities.
  • Having a clear understanding of the customers’ jobs-to-be-done empowers us to size, prioritize, sequence and focus ideas, business models and acquisitions with an extremely high degree of precision and confidence.
