  • I worked on developing autonomy features for outdoor utility rovers. My tasks include development of ROS 2 wrappers for sensors and application hardware and building custom Nav2 plugins for autonomous navigation. I also worked on setting up a behavior tree and creating custom behaviors as per client requirements. Other responsibilities include testing and tuning of various modules on autonomous rovers and documentation. I built a gazebo ignition simulation for the Rover from ground up.

  • I worked on building an object-specific collision risk estimation module for an autonomous vehicle (AV). I proposed novel probabilistic motion models to obtain the reachability of vehicles and pedestrians detected in the scene. Further, the probability of collision risk was estimated using the reachable sets of road users, along with the expected ego-vehicle trajectory. Proposed approach showed real-time performance and gave excellent results on the KITTI dataset and multiple collision scenarios simulated in the CARLA simulator. I recently presented this work at IEEE International Conference on Advanced Robotics (ICAR), 2021.
