• Exoskeleton is a wearable mobile machine that is powered by a system of electric motors, pneumatics, levers, hydraulics, or a combination of technologies that allow for limb movement with increased strength and endurance. Exoskeletons are becoming a very powerful tool to help therapists in the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered from neurological conditions, in particular stroke or spinal cord injury. They also have applications in civilian areas as they enhance human's limbic capabilities.
• Role:
•  Perform the mechanical calculations for the exoskeleton limbs and actuators.
•  Comply with the ‘User-centric Ergonomic Design’ approach.
•  Produce design outlines for the joint mechanism, post a Fault Tree Analysis & DFEMA study.
•  Amongst the ‘’inventors’’ of 2 patents.
•  Design of gears trains (harmonic drive) according to the requirement of torque.
•  Layout, 3D modelling and Motion Analysis of Active (for Lower body) and Passive (for upper body) exoskeletons.
•  Finite Element Analysis (Static, Buckling, Fatigue, etc.) on NX12.0 and SolidWorks.
•  Additive manufacturing using FDM based 3D printing.
•  Market research, cost estimation, preparation of BOM and technical documentation.
•  Represented the company at Tie Global Summit ’18 & ‘19 and Logistics Summit ’19.

• (This was a project performed in close collaboration with Sandvik Coromant)
• Tapping, which is usually performed at the very last of the manufacturing process, failure of tap or distortion of threads at this instance often results in a high downtime; thus, affecting the commercial value and the overall production rate. This dissertation employed ultrasonic techniques to enhance the tapping operation significantly. A transducer horn was designed and manufactured which helped in simultaneously generating a combination of axial-torsional vibration. This project successfully managed to reduce the tapping torque, thrust force, and chip width substantially. Also, a superior quality of thread profile was achieved.
