About

I am an Automotive Designer with an inherent passion for creative design, development and visualisation. My experience includes Design/Research, Automotive Production (Trim), Automotive Project Management and Graphic Design/Artworker roles. My skill set includes creative research/development, sketching/rendering (2D/Photoshop), CAD modelling and 3D Visualisation (Alias/VRED). In my most recent position as a Designer for the Mulliner Department at Bentley Motors, I was responsible for the design, development and visualisation for personalised client vehicles, special commissions and regional/limited editions. During my time at the Intelligent Mobility Design Centre (IMDC associated with the Royal College of Art) I was one of a group of designers that were given a design brief for the Hyundai/Kia group as part of a wider body of research, exploring the future meaning of Luxury and the outcome to our research was a piece of artwork that explains our futuristic vision. I also have experience in Automotive Production within the Interior Trim department at Bentley Motors, this included leather inspection and operation of cutting beds for leather trim interior parts. As part of my position as Project Coordinator at Futura Design, I gained extensive experience in organising and planning complex projects including Ergonomic and Aerodynamic properties for clients such as Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan. My aspiration is to forge a career within Vehicle Design, to contribute to projects, to be part of the move forward in innovation and the shape of our future. Skills/Specialities: Freehand 2D Sketching/Rendering, 3D Sketch Modelling, 3D Visualisation, Clay Modelling/Hard Model Making, Rapid Idea Generation, Verbal/Visual Presentations. Software: Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Alias Automotive, Autodesk VRED, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere/After Effects (Adobe Creative Suite), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

  • Looking at luxury in the abstract. Within this position and as part of a wider body of research for the Hyundai Kia Motor Group I was tasked with looking at luxury in a broader sense. With a small group of designers and artists from different disciplines we were asked to provide an individual opinion of what future luxury could be, to come up with a narrative describing our chosen area of future luxury and deliver an object, artwork our outcome that helps explain that narrative.

  • As Project Coordinator I gained extensive experience in organising and planning complex projects including Ergonomic and Aerodynamic properties for clients such as Bentley, Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan. In addition to this I also arranged and chaired meetings with high profile clients, creating necessary agendas and ensuring all objectives of the project had been addressed and that all required criteria were met. Along with projects for OEM clients, I was also fortunate enough to coordinate scale model builds for three Royal College of Art students, this required frequent communication with the students to ensure that the intended design direction/finish was achieved.
