• Trading Gateway - Microservice Architecture
• Built applications which automate the trading batch decoration process by selecting clearing broker, clearing account, internal netting, and sidemarking, etc.
• Support different asset classes like Equities, Futures, Fx, Fixed Income, etc.
• After the decoration step, the batch will be submitted to Trader's UI so that it can be traded with minimum manual intervention in the market.
• Worked on 'Position Relay', an application responsible for serving positions data to the firm. Added functionality to fetch data from different sources. It is a Kafka-dependent service and also made the service scalable to handle more requests.
• Worked on microservice architecture with Kafka as middleware.
• Successfully enhanced the firm's new SMA business.
• Support Tools
• Designed and developed a testing tool to ease the release process and increase release frequency from weeks to days. This tool is designed to replay production batches in a test environment and compare the results.
• Designed and developed a support tool which calls SUMOLOGIC API endpoint to monitor applications.
• Infrastructure migration
• Led Splunk to Sumologic migration for all the trading applications.
• Contributed to migration of services from on-premises DCOSto AWS for all trading applications.
• Migrated various services to AWS PaaS and actively used S3 for storage as part of the firm's AWS migration initiative.
