With almost 2 decades of experience in cloud services, distributed systems and data management systems, I am a passionate engineering leader who focuses on delivering high-performance, scalable, secure, and compliant platforms for cloud-based solutions. I am responsible for Data, Analytics and AI services and solutions at Nike. I lead a cross functional team responsible for engineering, product and program for the enterprise. In the past, I was the Vice President of Software Engineering at Salesforce. I led engineering for the messaging platform which includes data platform and security for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, a distributed data estate that supports billions of customer interactions every year. I was responsible for the roadmap, implementation, and execution of the big data services, the data science initiatives, and the security engineering for features like data encryption, industry compliance, encryption at rest, and secret storage. Prior to that, I led Product Management for the database engine for SQL Server, SQL Server on Azure VM, Azure Arc SQL Managed Instance, and Azure SQL Edge, products and services that generate multi-billion dollars in annual revenue for Microsoft. I have also co-authored two books on SQL Server and Azure, and I am an active blogger and speaker at various community events.
