Hello! My love for engineering started from making an FM radio receiver antenna to listen to Radio. As a 90s kid, I have seen technology revolutionize the way people interact from postcards to video calls and I am fortunate to work on different projects that positively impacted the life of people across the spectrum of society. At nurture.farm, we launched multiple mobile-based solutions in the pursuit of building a complete agriculture stack (agro-retailer -> farmer -> trader -> sustainable practices). I led the team to build nurture.retail app and it's backend for a year. Later, I was assigned to create a platform team to cater to the common use cases across the business verticals. My role as Technical Lead Manager involved working with Engineers and Product Managers from finding requirements to implementing and releasing them. As the first engineer at nurture.farm, I was fortunate to work on many different technologies - Go, Java, gRPC, ProtoBuf, Temporal, Kubernetes, Kafka, Redis, Airflow, MySQL, and Superset. As a very young engineer, I started my journey with Ola Share where I worked on the share accounting platform. Later, I was part of the Ola Allocation Platform where we optimized driver-customer pairing based on multiple signals. These signals were aggregated using the data streams from multiple services and their precalculated values were stored in order to achieve low latency. I saw the journey of Ola Share from 5K rides per day to 0.3 million rides per day. Ola Allocation Platform scaled to handle 30 million bookings every day. I got the opportunity to work on Kafka, Redis, Thrift, Java, Python, RabbitMq, MongoDB, MySQL and Ruby. I was Tech Lead for Get My Parking, where I led a young team to build a multi-tenant parking platform that is used by parking operators across the globe. GMP parking platform supported multiple technologies - RFID, and ANPR to detect entry and exit of the vehicles. The architecture needed to support multiple OEMs and seamlessly connect with customer applications. I worked on Dropwizard, ActiveMQ, Java, MySQL, and Redis. I started my career at Oracle where I worked on CPQ cloud which was B2B cloud-based application that helps sellers configure the right mix of products or services and create accurate, professional quotes to quickly meet their customers’ pricing needs. I worked on JSP, MySQL, and Java. I love advocating for engineering and mentoring engineers to grow in their careers. I have mentored close to 50 Engineers and helped them achieve their goals.
