As a Software Architect, my key challenge was to provide a highly available, linearly scalable and extremely flexible learning management platform. I led a large team of onsite/offshore software developers and created a world-class enterprise software platform called 'Connect' based on Java EE. This SOA based platform today hosts around 200 products, provides end to end learning management services, serves around one million customers and generates multi-million dollars in revenue. The platform also integrates seamlessly with various partner applications, provides digital rights management (DRM) and eCommerce services. The platform is hosted on globally load balanced data centers with robust disaster recovery sites and procedures. The ‘Connect’ platform won Corporate Achievement Award and is Higher Education's flagship product.
