Akshar Vastarpara — CEO
Stumbled upon the intricacies of how computers work after graduating in the software field, I wanted to learn the very basics of most computing fields. I had ideas for products that I could build for humankind, but I was limited by the knowledge I possessed. All I had to do was learn. While building software products initially, I discovered that I was very limited by existing infrastructures (computing architectures, operating systems, the way they run), and I recalled a quote from Alan Kay: "If you really want to build great software, you should build your hardware too." That struck me, and I began exploring the electronics hardware field, starting slowly with single-layer designs. As a one-person team, I found a way to build an electronic hardware startup of 40 people within 3 years and designed and developed hardware up to 6 layers. Still eager to learn more, I wanted to build something truly magnificent that could help humanity to the utmost. That's where I stumbled upon FPGAs - reconfigurable computing. With a deep desire to learn every aspect of computing, from circuits to the tiniest transistor used in your CPU, I came across an astounding idea to build computers that can be much faster than all other computing platforms. And that's when Vicharak was born. Vicharak is all about adapting a newer way of computing and revolute the field of computing from 80 year old sequential computer architectures.
