About

With 7+ years of deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, I specialise in architecting and deploying large-scale cloud solutions. Currently working at AION, where I’m building the product for AI Cloud Infrastructure and simultaneously building the engineering team from the ground up. I leverage my strong background in Golang, Kubernetes, and Ceph to build resilient, high-performance cloud-native solutions. My extensive experience with OpenStack and distributed systems has been instrumental in driving innovation in cloud infrastructure, enabling platforms to meet the complex demands of AI-driven enterprises.

  • Loose Integration of Commvault Backup and Disaster Recovery Solution.
  • This project involved integration of Commvault Backup Solution within the company architecture such that customer can get the solution up and running in easiest way possible, without having need of Backup Administrator. The project involved familiarity with golang for integration, python for scripting and automating the whole process and Windows Environment as Commvault is Windows based solution.
  • Strong Integration with Trilio Backup Solution.
  • This project involved in-depth knowledge of full architecture of the ZeroStack platform and multiple components used in it along with their inter dependencies. It involved a complex process of spawning a vm from libvirt layer along with specific network configuration and then configuring the vm. The solution supports NFS storage as backend storage for Backup. To make the process easier for end-user, everything was automated, user just needed to provide location of backend storage.
  • Implementation of API call to collect cluster report and upload it to public storage or local file system.
  • One of the most time taking process when an issue arises on customer environment is to collect logs from the whole cluster for further debugging, so automated this process so that customers can directly collect and send the reports through UI portal to a secure storage such as s3, which can be accessed by the company to debug the logs and find error quickly.
  • Optimised implementation of REST APIs for better functionality and user experience.
  • Implemented new as well as optimised existing APIs to reduce system load as well as to enhance experience. For example, optimised long running api's which were previously synchronous and made them asynchronous so that user is not stuck at one point for any call, and can check progress for this long running api's.

  • Implementation of RefStack Client.
  • RefStack Client is a testing framework for testing Openstack api functionality. This project involved good understanding of Golang for integration with the company architecture as well as good understanding of Openstack framework. This project also resulted in company getting a position at Openstack Marketplace.
  • Customization of Openstack Dashboard (Horizon).
  • This project involved stripping down the original Openstack dashboard functionalities to provide a local UI for customers, that can be served as Read- only dashboard, and no creation/destruction/modification of any component can be done from here. Served as emergency dashboard in case of network issues on the customer side.
  • Image creation using url when behind proxy.
  • Glance cannot fetch image using url which are behind a proxy. For example, you have deployed OpenStack based cloud in your enterprise environment (which is proxy protected) and you want create a glance image using a direct link (instead of downloading it to a local store and then uploading it to glance), applied a patch to openstack code for image creation to handle such a situation.
  • Adding various funcitonality to openstack cluster as per use case.
  • Openstack is an open-source software platform for cloud computing. So it is very generic and does not handle all the cases that might arise in actual production environment such as deletion of chain of inter-related volumes and snapshots using a single api call.
