Prior to agilon, Mr. Desai served in several senior executive roles at Vantage Oncology, a leader in community oncology and value-based cancer care. He oversaw the growth and development of Vantage into a leading national cancer delivery network. As President of Operations, he had responsibility for the organization's field operations as well as key corporate functions including sales & marketing, managed care, and strategy. Mr. Desai helped incubate and served as Chief Operating Officer of the Vantage Cancer Care Network, an innovative model for value-based care delivery in the management of cancer populations. Vantage Oncology was acquired by McKesson Corporation in 2016. Before joining Vantage, Mr. Desai spent nearly a decade as a leader in the healthcare practice of Bain & Company where he specialized in provider, payer, and technology segments. He serves on the Board of Directors of tango, a leader in post acute and home based care enablement. Previously, he served on the Board of Directors of The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation, a national leader in value-based oncology care. Mr. Desai is also deeply passionate about public education. He worked at Green Dot Public Schools, where he helped to launch two new public charter high schools in Downtown & East Los Angeles.
