• Global Program Leader in Security, Technology and Response (STAR) group responsible for driving and delivering company wide, mission-critical programs both in Consumer (Norton Antivirus) and Symantec Enterprise Products. This included launching security features across devices and Cloud driving network protection, malware detection, reputation and remediation, and daily security updates on >300 million endpoints across 140+ countries. I partnered with Senior leadership (VPs, Directors, Fellows, Distinguished Engineers) to build the roadmap vision, tech strategy and define the yearly executional plan to operationalize across 800+ employees, enabling > $1B in annual revenue. Notable accomplishments during my tenure includes:
• Launched several ground breaking capabilities such as Browser protection, rootkit detection, and honeypot-based deception for Network Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) technology. This involved a set of technologies designed to block malicious attacks before they have a chance to introduce malware onto a system by analyzing incoming data streams that arrive onto a user’s machine via network connections and block threats before they hit the system.
• Launched new ML backed malware detection platform called Behavior Policy Engine (BPE) to lockdown and stop trusted processes such as OS or IE to inject threats for malware detection (conviction, reputation), remediation and daily security updates. This was done by analyzing and stitching together malware actions holistically in a virtual sandbox to limit the blast radius and safely neutralize the threat. This involved close partnership with Threat analysts and Engineering to identify, isolate and neutralize malware such as ransomware, spyware, keyloggers and botnets using ML based behavior detection technology from WW telemetry and building a global malware fingerprinting engine (malware reputation) for threat assessment.

• Led the development of NCR’s retail Enterprise flagship product (Web based Backoffice solution aka WebOffice) integrating with key retail products such as Self-Checkout machines, Advanced Checkout for grocery, and Advanced Store for general merchandising while driving teams through challenging new technology and Agile transformation. Notable accomplishments include:
• Designed and implemented several key features in the product such as a) on-prem Disaster and Data redundancy system for major retailers in North America b) Logging framework and Web Service for a Retail web-based Back Office solution, c) Flexible and reusable SOA architecture for a web-based Back Office solution that is leveraged across multiple NCR products
• Solution Architect for clients such as Roundy's, Save Mart, Shop N Save, Winco and BevMo! to improve product market readiness by integrating with multiple POS solutions by engaging cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Solution management, and QA, Professional Services for complete Retail store Automation.
