In my previous role as Vice President for Risk Engineering at PayPal, I lead a large organization around the world and own the core risk systems for Payments, Crypto, Onboarding, Credit, Disputes, Collections and Analytics Data Services. I was recruited to PayPal in 2023 following 6 years at Meta, where I held leadership positions inside Data & AI Infrastructure Organization. Before moving to Meta in 2017, I played key strategic and operational roles in transforming IBM’s cloud computing unit. I started my career at IBM as a software development engineer in the cutting-edge Distributed Computing Environment (DCE), rose rapidly into senior management, and oversaw the creation of IBM Watson Natural Language Processing. I also redesigned and scaled the IBM Watson Health cloud offerings . In my many roles at IBM, I was deeply engaged in Cloud strategy and execution. I am an Executive in Residence at the McCombs School of Business, University of Austin, Texas, where I mentor mid-career professionals looking to move into the technology industry. I serve on the board of UdayanCare, USA Chapter, a nonprofit that promotes a nurturing home and excellent education for every orphaned and abandoned child in India. I provide an opportunity for higher education for every young adult, and especially young women, in India.
