• Led the platform foundation engineering initiatives out of our India Development Center (IDC). Was responsible for multiple core platform products across scrum teams distributed globally. Primarily focused on Integrations, Authentication, Notifications, Document Management, Low-code development paradigms and Platform adoption technologies across our platform engineering portfolio that is critical to our continued success as a platform of platforms offering. Invested consistently in building strong and diverse leadership to get clear and crisp alignment to company's vision and priorities.
• Addl responsibilities: Part of the India Leadership Team (ILT) for ServiceNow India, that has close to 3000+ employees across multiple business units. I was primarily involved in defining the early in career (EIC) hiring and onboarding strategy from the business – this includes both internship programs and recruiting the best and the brightest from top tier engineering institutes across India
• Was responsible for setting up the first Maker’s lab at our new Hyderabad office space.

• Lead multiple teams and initiatives across geographies in Platform engineering, including Security, Core, Integrations, Notifications, Documents and Guidance/Adoption products.
• In this role, I was tasked with an ambitious goal to grow teams that will accelerate manifold in scaling up our Integrations (Spokes) to external systems. I helped build a strategy that enabled the organization to reach 100+ spokes in 1 calendar year. It was a highly coordinated effort between Product, Engineering, Program, Security and Release Management - making it extremely complex coordination of a very large outcome. We eventually hit beyond 100 spokes on our market-place; one quarter early!
• This project clearly demonstrated how agile, rapid and continuous delivery can help organizations scale and deliver extremely complex pieces of software at enterprise scale. This initiative also helped us understand how to strategically outsource and partner through contracting to scale and augment core platform engineering teams.

• As a senior manager for Platform Engineering, I continued to expand into multiple teams. Couple of key highlights was introducing how Anti-virus scans can happen seamlessly across all attachments / documents across the servicenow farm and also helped establish how Documents, irrespective of the formats it is in can be viewed from within ServiceNow thus eliminating the need to use third party viewers and thus become OS agnostic. In addition to this, I also helped setup the first version of the Authentication and IntegrationHub teams, which were crucial to our overall platform strategy.

• Helped establish the Platform Engg team at the Hyderabad office. With less than 3 employees in 2014, recruited talent into the newly established Platform team, that initially contributed towards setting up the ServiceNow marketplace, now accessed via store.servicenow.com.

• Part of the Technology Initiatives team responsible for product innovation. Completely owned and drove two products - Supply Chain Event Management (SCEM) and Java APIs for Forms (JAF) Web Services.
• Oracle Supply Chain Event Management leveraged Oracle’s Fusion Middleware to provide visibility to events in every link across the extended supply chain (extendable to any process across the enterprise). SCEM contains a designer to design, edit, and generate an end-to-end event tracking application with situation detection and targeted alerts. The role involved coordinating and directly managing engineering staff (8 engineers, one architect, one development manager and 2 graduates from the China Development Center) from four time zones, including US, India & China development centers.

• Product Line / Responsibility: E-Business Applications Integration & Technology Initiatives (Semantic Technologies)
• Led a team of highly motivated team of engineers in researching, architecting, designing and developing a framework for automated integration of applications (specifically belonging to Oracle E-Business Suite). The key charter for my team was to build tools and frameworks for automated generation of Web Services over the already existing infrastructure and embedded business logic. In addition to the above-mentioned activity, my team was actively involved in innovation activities in the realm of the semantic web. Our team was responsible for automated generation of Ontologies to semantically enable the existing applications and to enable semantic search on these Ontologies. These efforts have led us to apply for patents in the areas of Semantic Search for the Enterprise.
