The core objective of the regulation is to report US taxpayers according to US Tax legislation having financial accounts with Foreign Financial Institute (FFIs). Many countries have already signed while others are in process to enter the Intergovernmental Agreement in order to implement FATCA and report the required information through local tax authority or directly to IRS.
  • FATCA implementation takes place in 3 stages namely identification, reporting and withholding.
