Rizwan is the current Head of Engineering for RazorPay POS Business and Razorpay International expansion(SEA and US) bringing over 23 years of experience in tech product development. His expertise spans the entire software development lifecycle, from web and mobile applications to large-scale backend systems, Big Data technologies, Data Science, and Data Warehousing. Throughout his career, he has successfully launched numerous new products. His responsibilities at Razorpay also include leading org-wide initiatives in: Decomposing the monolith into microservices. Analyzing AI/ML/GenAI opportunities across all products, which led to the creation of Razorpay's first GenAI product, RAY. Championing Agile methodologies and implementing sprint-based execution excellence across the organization. Rizwan is a recognized Subject Matter Expert in Fintech and a veteran of the Online Gaming Industry. He previously managed flagship Poker, Casino, and Bingo products for Bwin.Party. He also served as CTO at a Fintech startup that was later acquired by Razorpay. Earlier in his career, he was a Sr. Director at GSN Games, where he rebuilt their gaming tech stack on a microservices architecture and successfully launched it. Prior to that, as Director – Engineering (Data) at Gwynniebee, he established their Bangalore center from the ground up and oversaw their Big Data platform, Data Science applications, and Hadoop infrastructure. Rizwan holds a B.Tech degree from NIT- Allahabad, India, and a Masters in International Business Administration (MBA-IB) from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi. His specialties include Big Data, Data Science, Data Warehousing, Online Gaming, program and product management, Microservice architecture, client architecture, performance, and stability.
