• I lead 250+ strong product and technology team for all digital offerings at Network18. At a high level the teams were organized under Content Management, Customer Experience and Operational Engineering functions. Content Management owns the media supply chain systems, Customer Experience owns the consumer applications and Operational Engineering owns business and enterprise operations products (contribution ingest, sales CRM, Data Engineering, Ad Ops, AI Incubation etc.). My key accomplishments were, a) defined organization design, roles, responsibilities, hiring, promotion, reward and recognition process, b) hired 80+ members in the product and tech teams, c) optimized people and infra costs to save around $1MM annually, d) consolidated 19 tech stacks to 9, e) migrated infra from a combination of multi-cloud and on-prim to Google Cloud saving $900K annually, f) launched Video supply chain platform MVP, g) launched and scaled News18 mobile and Connected TV apps (together 1Mn+ monthly active users), h) launched refreshed firstpost.com resulting in 75% increase in user traffic and i) added 50Mn+ new unique users.

• I led three horizontal (products across all business lines) and one vertical team. The horizontal teams were, a) Student & Parent Experience, b) Teacher Experience and c) Customer Support Technologies. My key achievements across these three were, a) delivered a 30% reduction in incoming customer calls by building engagement (where to/how to) features for students and parents, b) defined domain driven functional architecture for purchase, catalog, ordering and service management layers to decouple and debottleneck the biz-tech systems, c) conceptualized, together with product, a teacher marketplace and delivered the key foundational elements and d) defined an integrated customer support product portfolio including a CRM system to reduce footprint of third party commercial off-the-shelf solutions.
• I also led teams that built products for Early Learning business vertical (KG to Grade 3) and drove tech stack optimization to reduce fragmentation, costs and increase resource fungibility.

• Led definition of North Star product and technical architecture vision between product and engineering teams for the Freight Auditing & Payments SaaS product suite. Created a business case for increased investment and convinced leadership to double down in this space. Generated savings of $300MM through automated matching and audits. Additionally, defined organization vision, organization design and input/output metric for each function. Finally, incubated a dedicated analytics function for not only a closed feedback loop on product efficiency but also to business for contract negotiations.

• Accepted the challenge to lead an underserved offering and established a dedicated product and engineering organization. Partnered with worldwide business teams to justify the business case for additional tech investment and influenced the operations leaders to invest too. I led the definition of product and tech strategy, organization vision, organization design, North Star product and architecture definition. I also convinced the Senior Principal Engineer to build our own TV Guide product instead of using a third-party product. Delivered new features on discovery and experience of LiveTV content to increase the customer engagement by 10.3%, selection by 50% and live events engagement by 16.4%.
