Journey - from a Pixel-focused Designer to a Project Manager and Leaders. --> Over the years, I have grown from a pixel-focused designer into a Project Manager and Leadership role who drives clarity, direction, and delivery for high-impact initiatives. I learned that great project managers don’t just manage tasks - they inspire teams, bring structure to chaos, and enable people to do their best work. --> If I look back at where my journey began, it all started with a simple fascination: how a single web page can shape someone’s digital experience. As a young Web Designer and UI Developer, I was driven by creativity - choosing colors, spacing elements, understanding how users think. But soon, I realized something bigger: behind every interface, there was a whole world of planning, collaboration, priorities, and decision-making. --> When I joined Sapient, I found myself naturally stepping into conversations with designers, developers, and project managers, not just about what we were building, but why we were building it, when it should be ready, and how the pieces fit together. That curiosity pushed me from designing to planning and managing entire workflows. --> When I joined To The New, I discovered Agile in full swing. I started hosting small discussions, sprint demos, and backlog clarifications - informally at first. Teams trusted me because I understood both the technical and delivery sides. That was the first time I felt the spark of leadership. --> My transition became clearer at Bold Technology. I supported cross-functional teams, refined user stories, aligned with product owners, and helped implement Agile practices. Though my title still said “Senior UI Engineer,” my day-to-day was shifting toward project management - guiding people, tracking progress, identifying risks, removing blockers. --> The real turning point came at Telus Digital. Here, I was entrusted with leading distributed teams, managing complex software initiatives, and being the bridge between engineering teams and business stakeholders. I coordinated across time zones, planned roadmaps, fixed timelines, solved conflicts, and ensured the team never lost sight of the bigger vision. One of my strongest memories is rescuing a delayed product launch - navigating resource constraints, resetting expectations with stakeholders, and empowering the team to deliver without burnout. That experience cemented my identity not just as a facilitator, but as a leader who thrives under pressure. My journey has been organic, intentional, and shaped by every team I’ve been privileged to lead.
