• Since 2022, I've been leading Google Cloud Applied AI's Incubation team in Engineering. We're tasked to test and try our products pre-GA and continue the improvement of them post-GA from within the Engineering organisation. I lead a global team based in EMEA and the US.
• We also work closely with our highest profile events and largest preview customers to ensure they are successful with our Cloud AI products. We work closely with our ecosystem partners (SI partners, professional services, field sales) to ensure they are trained and use our products.
• During our GenAI pivot we've led all the incubation and private preview of our Vertex AI Conversation products and are working on our upcoming releases now as we speak. We have a close relationship with our Gemini teams and can't wait to see what you build!
• Talking about building: unlike other incubator teams that you might hear about, we don't build slides, wear suits, and write blog posts as our primary output. We code and all of our team have all passed the SWE programming bar. That includes me.

• Pak-Ming Wan is a Technical Solutions Consultant for the Google Cloud AI Incubation product team, based in Paris, France. He is passionate about technology and how it is applied to help solve human and business problems. His main strength is his breadth of knowledge and experience: he has worked on strategy consulting and business cases, complex IT system transformation blueprinting and delivery, ERP delivery (SAP), to full-stack development on modern web application architecture.
• His work experience spans Asia-Pacific and Europe, and he currently resides in Paris, France. He is a native English speaker and a fluent French speaker (C2 BULATS Certified in 2015). He is also a naturalised French / European - Australian dual national.
• Summary of key recent achievements:
• Google PSO France Consulting + SCE Lead: Helping organisations and our partners with their journey to the Google Cloud.
• CTO for Accenture’s SAP Global Innovation team. Co-inventor of new delivery innovations for SAP (Patent Pending).
• In his spare time Pak maintains several interests and he enjoys music (Piano and Violin), road cycling, and photography. And of course, he still loves to code and tinker -- a maker at heart.
