• Examined the existing network security architecture & automated data security by developing a Hunting Maturity Model, implementing Naive Bayes and kNN classifiers in an attempt to preempt and detect unwarranted network access
• Created new threat and vulnerability management policies to prevent malicious data packets from entering the network and sensitive information from leaking out by parsing CSV logs and red flagging any abnormal data-traffic activity

• Secured job-scheduler by restricting SQL, Remote-Host & XSS Payload injections, added http response headers to all servlets, disabled loading of iframes over webpages; made the webapp safe from all the top 10 OWASP attacks.
• Installed self-signed SSL-X.509 certificates on servers to redirect all http requests to https, to enable encrypted communication; configured PAM authorization of the Network Information Service via the sshd service.
• Reported a 60% decrease in the number of threats detected; my project was rolled out in the production version of the app.

• Pulse is the largest student run seminar comprising of several tech talks, workshops, and competitions in the University of Illinois by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Responsible for administration, conducting and documenting Pulse meetings, besides passing the financial budgeting with consent of the Department offices.

• The Illini EcoConcept is dedicated to designing and fabricating practical as well as energy efficient vehicles for the Shell Eco-marathon Urban Concept competition. My team was responsible for controlling all the electronic circuitry inside the car right from the Arduino programming to headlight signals and turn indicators. We won several awards at the Eco Marathons organised by Shell.
