• My final role at Microsoft was where technology met business strategy.
• After years of building and architecting solutions, I moved into a role focused on helping enterprise customers understand how Microsoft’s technology could solve their biggest business challenges. But this was never about features and slides. It was about understanding the customer’s actual situation first, then showing them what was possible.
• What I focused on:
• → Built deep relationships with enterprise customers by learning their businesses from the inside out, not just their tech stack
• → Drove technical wins by demonstrating real, measurable value over competitor solutions
• → Removed technical blockers that were preventing organizations from adopting the technology they needed
• → Enabled Microsoft partners to build and sell their own products on Microsoft’s technology, expanding the ecosystem
• → Created competitive positioning strategies based on genuine product strengths, not marketing buzzwords
• This role shaped how I approach every Fractional CTO engagement. Technology decisions should always start with the business problem. If you can’t connect a technology choice to a business outcome, you’re making the wrong choice.

• This is where I went deep on Data and AI at true enterprise scale.
• For four years, I worked with some of the largest financial institutions in the world. The kind of organizations where a wrong architecture decision doesn’t just waste money. It affects compliance. It affects risk. It affects millions of customers.
• What I built and delivered during this period:
• → Helped major financial institutions adopt Azure OpenAI to modernize existing AI applications and AI-enable legacy business systems
• → Built an AI model to proactively detect data quality issues using open-source language models (BERT Transformer on Huggingface)
• → Led Microsoft Fabric adoption efforts through dedicated office hours with financial services clients
• → Led the Azure Databricks Champion program within Financial Services, driving adoption across the sector
• → Migrated large-scale on-premises databases (SQL Server, Oracle) to Azure PAAS services including Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, and Oracle on Azure
• → Moved legacy Hadoop and data warehouse workloads to Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, and HDInsight
• Working with institutions like EY and JPMorgan Chase taught me something that most technologists miss: at enterprise scale, the technology is the easy part. The hard part is understanding the business context, navigating organizational complexity, and making architecture decisions that will still be right three years from now.

• This is where my Microsoft journey began and where I discovered what I was meant to do.
• I joined as a Cloud Solution Architect focused on Advanced Analytics and AI. My job was to help organizations see what was possible with their data and then build the architecture to make it happen.
• What I did in this role:
• → Designed cloud solutions tailored to specific business needs using Azure Data and AI services
• → Led hands-on hackathons at customer sites, helping teams innovate and modernize existing business processes using Machine Learning and AI

• → Delivered training sessions and in-depth technical deep dives on Azure Data and AI solutions
• Looking back, this role set the foundation for everything that followed. It’s where I learned that the best technology solutions never start with the technology. They start with someone sitting across the table, listening to the business problem, and then figuring out the right way to solve it.
• That’s still how I work today. Whether it’s a Fortune 500 institution or a 20-person startup. Listen first. Architect second. Build third.
