• At Euler Systems, I led backend engineering team of 4 engineers in implementing projects for major job search platform. During that time, we tackled multiple problems:
• Full indexing of resumes into Elasticsearch using multiple threads and proper indexing of mysql data. This reduced the earlier time taken to index the data from 15 days to 4-5 hours.
• Real time indexing of the data using apache Kafka and multiple docker consumers. Tackled problem of sequentiality of events.
• Tackled indexing of multiple profiles of a job seeker across different regions( like Gulf, India and different regions of SEA).
• Optimized various parameters while designing search index like number of shards, replicas, instances, index analyzer, filters etc.
• Designed apis and algorithms for search in python-flask backend taking into account different business rules, freshness of the CV and meeting the requirements of various recruiters.
• Managed AWS Elasticsearch serving pan India, Gulf and SEA recruiters, in order to serve very heavy traffic of recruiters searching more than 60 million CVs.
• Designed database structure and APIs for the recruiter side on flask.
• In order to achieve AB testing of the apis, implemented two way sync between old and new DB using Debezium.

• I had a wide range of experience working in Euler Systems as Software Engineer.
• Accomplishments:
• Developed a standalone payments Android SDK which can be integrated by the applications developers in their projects.
• Implemented Elasticsearch based search for an organisation which was offering internal social network to the big companies. User can search for people, posts, products etc and results were based on the relevance of entities and business logic.
• Had implemented the machine learning based recommendation widgets for a fashion unicorn. Tried many techniques in generating recommendations and put them under AB testing. Had a good exposure of many big data tools like pandas, pyspark etc. The widgets, in total, contributed to almost 15% of the sales.
