======================= For the tech people ========================== For about 10 years of my career, I spent time building large scale systems as a Software engineer. I started with working at Ad-tech and hospitality startups, then spent 5 years building payment systems at Amazon. Then I moved to back to a startup (Hiver) and learned how to build and manage teams of engineers. At Hiver, I built a team of 15. I also led the function of tech support. During the course of all this, I took 400+ interviews, made some big systems, and somehow never had anyone resign from my team to switch a job. One of the cool things I've gotten to do repeatedly is cost reduction initiatives. I've thrice been responsible for reducing cloud costs by >30%. Lately, I've been attracted to work with smaller companies. I've been consulting and advising early stage startups as a Fractional CTO/engineering head/tech advisor. I understand Fintech/Ecommerce/SaaS/Some Adtech and Hospitality. Dabbling with AI these days. ====================== 2nd life - The Yogi =============================== Till 2020, my life was crippled with struggling relationships, tons of anxiety, sleep issues, weight issues. You name a modern problem, I had it. Somehow I found my way into Meditation and Buddhism. It made a very rational appeal: if you want to learn about your own mind, learn to observe it. So I've also spent the last 5 years doing meditation for 2000+ hours, attending retreats, getting a teaching certification, and learning a little bit of Yoga. Not only did it help me with my anxiety, sleep issues and productivity - but it taught me more about my own mind and human experience than all of my education had. I wish to help more people achieve wellbeing in their life by understanding their mind. Maybe someday, we'll do big things.
