  • I lead the Merchant Payments and Technologies team in a mirrored way at Bangalore. This team is undergoing a huge transformation from the payments and other key functions landscape. When I started in January 2020, this team was around 3 engineers and a leader and today we were able to scale this team to at least 20+ colleagues and 4 Engineering leaders. There is a huge opportunity to contribute to the cause of modernisation and after the initial hiccups we were able to step up the gas and are making meaningful and impactful contributions to the WW Merchant technologies of Amex.
  • In 2021, I had the chance to helm and lead the Merchant Data platforms which include huge Merchant data platforms with state of art BI engines and ML models working on petabytes of data from various SORs and ensuring that the Merchant business, product and marketing teams are having insights at their finger tips to make meaningful choices and decisions to pave way for better adoption, cross sell and maximising the potential stand point.
  • I also work closely on the WW Merchant SRE and Dev ops and with a series of innovative ideas was able to drive world class testing frameworks and methodologies and today these suite of products are providing the value add across the board pan the enterprise.
  • Being part of the local India forums and council and leading work-streams related to Learning and Development and also wider colleague experience work streams is making sure that I do contribute to the initiative of the Market.

  • Taking care of Data Engineering which is key for the company! I lead the Data engineering team that involves Data collection from various heterogeneous sources like batch and streaming and involves Petabytes of data. Some environments are private data centers and few are on GCP and AWS. Building scalable, resilient and predictable data pipelines using Spark, Scala, HDP, CDH, Ambari, Ansible, Rundeck, Stats D, Prometheus, and Grafana is some of the technologies that I work with. Building scalable data pipelines using the latest features of SPARK and also making sure that the data quality is not compromised.
  • Another responsibility and accomplishments include doubling the current team and also going above and beyond to set up the tech hiring process for the company is also what I have dealt with.
