Shalini Kumari — Product Manager
Hey there! I’m a Master’s student in Engineering Management at Purdue University, a former software engineer at Walmart, and most recently, a Product Management Intern at Lenovo. Translation? I’ve lived on both sides of the roadmap, building the “how” and driving the “why.” At Walmart (yep, that Fortune 1 giant), I spent 3 years writing code, leading scrums, and working closely with product managers to bring customer-centric features to life. Think React, Node.js, agile everything, and more Jira tickets than I care to count. Then came Lenovo, where I traded APIs for CPUs. As a Product Management Intern in the Infrastructure Solutions Group, I designed and piloted a Design to Value framework that optimized our portfolio by approximately 30%. It started as an idea in a slide deck and ended up as a live pilot program. I realized I don’t just enjoy building things - I love making them matter :) But here’s the real thing about me: I’m curious. Always have been. I light up when I learn something new, whether it’s the latest in AI, a better way to solve a problem, or how hardware and software dance behind the scenes. I’m constantly trying to zoom out and understand the bigger picture because that’s where real innovation lives. Technology excites me. The pace of it, the power of it, and the way it keeps challenging me to keep up, I’m here for all of it. I’m passionate about building thoughtful, scalable solutions and working with teams that push each other to grow. If you’re into turning big ideas into real impact or just want to geek out about product, strategy, or your favorite dashboard tools, let’s connect. :D
