• Our original hypothesis was to use AI for helping people build better habits to transform their lives. This attracted a passionate niche, but we couldn't build conviction that it could be a VC-scale business.
• We tried another pivot to explore education and learning related ideas, but quickly discovered that building a successful consumer app today is very hard (as you're battling for attention with YouTube, Instagram, and Fortnite).
• So, we wrapped up Nintee (with the majority of funding still remaining that we returned to our lead VC and angels)
• A good decision is the one that you'd take again and again, irrespective of the actual outcome. In that sense, attempting Nintee was a fantastic decision, as it turned out to be a crash course on human behavior and psychology.

• My job was to analyze and devise Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms for enabling accurate large scale assessment via standardized Computer Adaptive Tests. Techniques used include Bayesian inference, active learning, non-linear optimization and various classification, data mining and predictive analytics methods.

• Leading a team of six people, I am successfully managing Kroomsa which helps Indian bands promote their music on the web. A win-win model has been created as the revenue generated through the website is shared between the artist/band, Kroomsa and an NGO.

• Under guidance of Dr. Ram Ramaswamy, modeled the phenomenon involving synchronization of flashes in a group of fireflies (of a select species). Specifically, implemented Mirollo and Strogatz model, verified it and later expanded it to include spatial considerations.

• Working under Dr. Mukund Thattai at National Center for Biological Sciences, Bangalore, developed a web based tool for predicting subclasses of proteins (belonging to a specific protein family) based on its amino acid sequence only.

• Under guidance of Prof. V. Nanjundiah and Prof. S. Mahadevan in Molecular Reproduction, Development and Genetics department of IISc, Bangalore, developed a quantitative model for the regulation of the bgl operon in E. coli. The prestigious summer research fellowship was awarded by the Indian Academy of Sciences.

• I developed desktop and web-based software and released them as freeware. I also occasionally did custom software design and development (particularly in Artificial Intelligence domain.)
