About

I am an organisational psychologist who spent a decade presenting breakfast radio and performing stand-up comedy before moving into HR, leadership consulting, and now AI adoption. That combination turns out to be useful. I know how to read a room, explain something complex in plain language, and hold attention when the topic is uncomfortable. I co-founded uptakeAI because I kept seeing the same pattern. Organisations would buy AI tools, roll them out, and wonder why nobody used them. The problem was never the technology. It was fear, misalignment, and a lack of psychological safety. People do not adopt tools they do not trust, and they do not trust tools nobody has helped them understand. We work with leadership teams to fix that. Not by teaching prompt engineering, but by starting with the human: what are people actually worried about, where does AI genuinely help their work, and how do you build the confidence and culture for adoption to stick. Our clients include housing associations, manufacturers, retailers, and professional services firms across the UK. We also built SUSY, an online AI learning platform designed to make AI literacy accessible at scale. I write regularly on LinkedIn about the psychology of AI adoption, the gap between AI strategy and AI reality, and what happens when you treat AI as a colleague rather than a tool. If your organisation is trying to figure out what to actually do with AI, beyond the pilot that went nowhere, I would enjoy the conversation.
