In addition to being an outstanding teacher, researcher and consultant with extensive experience in industry as a manager, consultant and corporate trainer, I have held leadership positions in academia as Dean (Alumni & External Relations) (2013-16), Chairperson (PGPX) (2007-09), Chairperson, Executive Education (2017-19) and Chairperson, Marketing Area (2019-2021). Also, appointed as Chair, India Gold Policy Center@IIMA from March 2016. From October, 2016, I was the Chair (Asia Pacific) of Partnership in International Management, a consortium of 63 top global business schools. In December 2016, I was appointed as the Prof. MN Vora Chair of Marketing. In December 2019, I was appointed as the Founding Chair of the NSE Center for Behavioral Science, a first at a management institution. I have built and institutionalized areas and processes at IIMA. On October 17, 2023, I joined MDI Gurgaon as Director. I am the author of 65 cases, 37 refereed journal articles in top international journals and a national best seller "Brands and the Brain.". I am the recipient of the University Wide Best Dissertation Award at University of Texas,Austin, the Winner of the Innovation in Teaching Award at London Business School and the UTV Bloomberg Award for the best Marketing Professor. Have consulted for and / or delivered customized executive education for more than 35 firms across Asia, Europe and Africa. Have done more than 10 years of academic administration including heading the PGPX program and fund raising for IIMA. As Dean (Alumni and External Relationships), I was responsible for connecting with alumni and raising resources for IIMA. Am an independent director on the board of directors of four private, and two publicly listed companies with toplines from INR 50 crores to 20000 crores with more than 42 years of board room exposure. My most recent research projects are in the areas of pricing, neuroscience, brand management, brand management, gold, and innovation. At MDI Gurgaon, I have raised 18 crores for the institute, established 3 new Centers of Excellence, created an MoU with IITD for Acceleration of Start ups and expanded the number of students. The campus construction projects are on track to come live in 2025 and 2026.
