• Cenersys was a cloud based network monitoring tool that collected and aggregated network statistics into a central location, for visualization, analysis and alerting. It was used by MSPs to monitor network performance on their customer sites.
• I architect ed and built the cloud infrastructure, back end and web console, and contributed to the client side code as well. Infrastructure ran in Azure, using technologies like NodeJS, Socket IO, NginX, Elastisearch, Grafana and Redis. The front end interface was developed using AngularJS. Client devices where Raspberry PI and Intel NUC, code was written in C and Python.
• Cenersys was acquired by IT Glue in December of 2017.

• Responsible for Goverlan Licensing Services, a cloud based licensing system for the Goverlan Suite and other product offering. Included a customer facing Licensing Portal and a E­-commerce storefront. This licensing system allows Goverlan to track maintenance expirations and renewals for perpetual customers, flexible license deployments (fixed, floating and trial) and completely pay­-as-­you­-go base offering.

• Responsible for the Pilixo Datacenter Division, which main focus was to build the Pilixo Cloud Framework and Infrastructure. Responsible for architecting the Infrastructure using Amazon Web Services.
• Led initiative to design and develop a high-performance, secure, reliable and scalable cloud system, from the ground up, with components like Provisioning, User Management, Authentication and Authorization, Single sign-on, Licensing, E-commerce, Credit Card processing, integrations to external systems (CRM, Invoicing, Accounting), including a rich web UI and a strong API for partners and integrators.
• Architected and build a cloud platform combining traditional and proven with new and emerging and frameworks: LDAP, Java, Tomcat, Apache Shiro, Redis, NodeJS, Socket.IO, AngularJS, Pubnub, etc, and it was deployed to the AWS stack.
• Lead the DevOps effort on the design, configuration and deployment of the stack, in up to 4 different environments (development, stage, beta, production), across different AWS availability zones.
• Involved in day-to-day project management activities, agile development and scrum methodology, using tools like Jira, TargetProcess, continually hitting targets on delivering deadlines and quality.
• Coordinated the interoperation and collaboration between three geographically distributed engineering teams, and managed relationships with marketing and sales teams, customers and partners.

• Promoted to VP of Engineering as Kaseya's Cloud initiative became mainstream. Expanded the reach to the development of additional core components like Multi-tenant, Licensing and Customer Portal. Released a new set of Cloud Offerings: Foundations, Essentials and Advanced. Led the release of Cloud Platform v2 which included a new provisioning and licensing system with extended support to on-premise customers, a new pay-per usage framework used for Online Backup, integration with CRM and Accounting systems and a link with an external PCI compliant Credit Card repository and multi-merchant processing system.
• Developed a system to analyze utilization patterns and generate statistical reports using big-data techniques and technologies.
• Conducted a series of R&D prototypes and technology analysis for a next generation platform: Cassandra, Couchbase, Hadoop and Amazon AWS technologies like DynamoDB, EMR, SQS, etc.

• Director of Engineering for Kaseya’s SaaS Business Unit, focusing on to further developing the SaaS infrastructure, expanding the provisioning and licensing system to become a complete platform, and a Cloud Management Console for configuration, management, support and activity tracking. Led the development of a Multi-currency E-commerce system: checkout and maintenance, credit card processing, billing and payments, invoicing. Launched Kaseya’s first commercial SaaS offering: Kaseya IT Toolkit and Kaseya IT Center.

• Joined Kaseya as a General Manager - Hosted Solutions to built the Kaseya SAAS offering from the ground up. Designed and build the hosting infrastructure working with virtualization technologies like VMWare and platforms like Verizon Terremark Enterprise Cloud and Amazon EC2; launched Kaseya Hosting Services. Led the engineering effort to develop a provisioning and licensing system to create Kaseya Trial accounts in shared servers, which allowed prospects to try Kaseya online. Defined a series of product bundles to be offered from the Cloud.

• Product Manager for Chart FX for Java, a Java version of the Chart FX charting component. Managed the entire product life cycle and the development of additional products and extensions: Maps Extension, Statistical Extension, Chart FX Gauges for Java. Held other positions throughout the years: IT Director, Technical Support Manager. Represented the company, and the product, in several events and trade shows, in particular Java One, where I was invited to speak on a main track about JavaServer Faces in 2005.

• Managed the entire product life cycle of AireLogic Wireless Development Kit, an IDE that allowed developers to create interactive WML sites by taking advantage of server side execution languages (asp, java, etc), gaining access to dynamic data on existing internet or internet services, in a full graphical environment by providing a Flow Chart interface to create the application logic.
