About

I specialise in turning complex, high‑risk systems into clear, build‑ready logic that decision‑makers, developers, and operators can actually use. My background spans construction, utilities (electricity and water), public policy, and data‑driven systems, where I have worked extensively in data modelling, process definition, and governance‑grade documentation. I translate fragmented information — technical, operational, regulatory, or strategic — into structured workflows, measurable metrics, and defensible outcomes. I am currently focused on AI‑enabled product and process design, including defining MVP logic, workflows, and scope boundaries before significant capital is committed to development. My work typically sits before engineering, ensuring the right problem is being solved and that complexity is reduced rather than amplified. Recent work includes: * Defining end‑to‑end AI workflow logic and task intelligence for a construction SaaS platform. * Authoring governance and policy documentation for state‑level organisations. * Translating domain expertise into structured data models and decision‑ready artefacts across multiple industries I am available for a small number of paid, fixed‑scope engagements, including: * MVP logic and build‑ready documentation * AI and data workflow definition * Complex documentation requiring executive or board approval Process and metric design in regulated environments I value clarity, precision, and contained outcomes. If you are working with complexity that needs to be made usable, feel free to reach out. Currently available for a small number of paid, fixed‑scope engagements.

Gap year

Dec 2019Sep 2023 · 3 yrs 9 mos

  • Late 2019 my father moved back from Western Australia to live with me. I have been freelancing on and off over this period, as I have been able to spend time with dad, giving Dad a new memory that lasts for a day. He loved horse racing and a good steak. My fathers dementia has progressed, he is in fulltime care, I still take him to the races but we don't bet anymore just pick a number and see which one comes in... Silly I know but all the same it is fun.
  • The time I get to spend with dad now no longer interferes with my career so I am now on the hunt for the next challenge.
  • These last couple of years has taught me so much about human behaviour and the brain, that I just didn't know happened.

  • Corona Virus CBD Shut Down – Lead Tender Responses & Home Renovations
  • (February 20 – Current)
  • Cloud 9 responded to a tender on a project for an “end to end” delivery - Data Visualisation. My role was to Identify a team of people who would be able to deliver this technical work in a very quick turnaround timeframe. Price the delivery of the work and address the technical questions in the tender document. The tender was shortlisted with a 48-hour turnaround for the presentation. In this time I managed the Web Developer to create the look and feel of a dummy site to insert the tableau dashboards that I helped to build, with relevant data stories pertaining to the client’s needs, and consulted with the KPMG Partner and team on the delivery of this tender for the presentation.

  • Loss Prevention required a suite of Dashboard Reports that interrogate the data lake (Big Data).
  • Connecting with the Stakeholder to understand their current reporting requirements and future reporting needs.
  • With a comprehensive understanding of the data structure and the prioritised reporting needs I then created a wireframe, depicting the story that is being told by the data and created all calculated fields that were needed to shape & transform the data to tell the complex story.
  • As the stakeholder currently does not have a base line of the refunds experienced at over 300 business locations throughout Australia and is currently unable to determine the staff members who were committing fraud | theft, I am able to provide a suite of time series dashboards focusing on the ‘top 10 subcategories’ of refunds experienced in the business.
  • On completion of these dashboard reports, the stakeholder will have evidence of fraud | theft committed by individuals on a current basis, and also be able to indicate to regional managers people who require further training on correct procedure at the POS terminals.

Working in an Agile environment and ensconced within the stakeholder team I have direct access with the SME’s who will be utilising these tableau dashboards. This process is enabling the team to create the dashboard with accurate instructions of identifying the correct Dimensions and Measures, testing and ensuring that tight timeframes are achieved, and stakeholder signoff and acceptance of the models was within the delivery timeframes.
