• Cloud 9 responded to a tender on a project for an “end to end” delivery - Data Visualisation. My role was to Identify a team of people who would be able to deliver this technical work in a very quick turnaround timeframe. Price the delivery of the work and address the technical questions in the tender document. The tender was shortlisted with a 48-hour turnaround for the presentation. In this time I managed the Web Developer to create the look and feel of a dummy site to insert the tableau dashboards that I helped to build, with relevant data stories pertaining to the client’s needs, and consulted with the KPMG Partner and team on the delivery of this tender for the presentation.

• Loss Prevention required a suite of Dashboard Reports that interrogate the data lake (Big Data).
• Connecting with the Stakeholder to understand their current reporting requirements and future reporting needs.
• With a comprehensive understanding of the data structure and the prioritised reporting needs I then created a wireframe, depicting the story that is being told by the data and created all calculated fields that were needed to shape & transform the data to tell the complex story.
• As the stakeholder currently does not have a base line of the refunds experienced at over 300 business locations throughout Australia and is currently unable to determine the staff members who were committing fraud | theft, I am able to provide a suite of time series dashboards focusing on the ‘top 10 subcategories’ of refunds experienced in the business.
• On completion of these dashboard reports, the stakeholder will have evidence of fraud | theft committed by individuals on a current basis, and also be able to indicate to regional managers people who require further training on correct procedure at the POS terminals.

• Stakeholder engagement and leading the team to develop a suite of tableau dashboards in a very short time frame. Working in an Agile environment and ensconced within the stakeholder team I have direct access with the SME’s who will be utilising these tableau dashboards. This process is enabling the team to create the dashboard with accurate instructions of identifying the correct Dimensions and Measures, testing and ensuring that tight timeframes are achieved, and stakeholder signoff and acceptance of the models was within the delivery timeframes.
• I also worked with the BI team developing the Greenfields DataMart with a starting point of 27M+ rows, enabling the reports to point to tables that have been optimised to produce data filtering refresh speeds appropriate to stakeholder expectations. Understanding how data transforms worked with tableau and ensuring calculated fields were correctly placed.

• Creating three dashboards based on styles the Health Board have seen on other health websites (9 Squares & Dartboard metrics) and producing a dashboard with consideration of best practice. The dashboards are connecting to a Greenfields DataMart and require out of the box configurations to enable the tableau

• A member of the Metcard Team, I was to extract data from the SQL database, liaise with internal and external departments, clean data sets and produce reporting models with the outputs being used in decision making. As a politically sensitive public project, the analysis of ticket sales and validations through out the Melbourne public transport sector were used in sensitive decision making, and optimisation of the retail outlets
• This role was dynamic in analysis providing ad hoc reports to members of the team who reported to the Board of Directors requiring quick turnaround timeframes determined by public opinion, reported in Victorian media. I also built and provided a suite of excel models for Monthly Reporting to the Board of Directors for Retail Outlets and Ticketing Machine Sales.

• To provide ANZ Group the Capital Number required by Basel II regulations, which is to be held for future major unexpected Operational Losses. This process is to analyse both internal and external Operational Loss Events and use Monte Carlo Simulation on the cleansed and accepted data set. The process is new for the bank and I am working in a team, with both Auditors and APRA (Basel II Regulators) to ensure that ANZ is compliant in all aspects of producing the Capital Number for ANZ Group. As the calculated amount required to be held for the future twelve month period is exceptionally large, it is necessary to find the best estimate or in Mathematical terms ‘Optimise’ the Capital Number.

• Developed and produced in a team of two, the Loss Given Default (LGD) Calculator that is Basel II compliant. Authored technical document, to support the numerous mathematical methodologies ‘logic’ functions that the calculator is compiled with.
• In developing this excel calculator I was responsible in drawing strengths from other team members to complete sections outside my skill set. I have attended meetings with the Data Collection team, gained knowledge and highlighted possible data integrity issues. I have demonstrated skills of working within the team structure and have delivered ad hoc data extractions writing back end Data base queries.
