Analytical, creative & customer-centric, brand-led growth marketer with 20+ yrs of rich experience driving brand strategy, demand-gen, digital & content marketing for top consumer brands across personal care, electronics & media I started my career as a creative producer and director with leading TV networks - Channel [v], Times Now & CNBC-TV18 and then pivoted to marketing and business roles after graduating from the Indian School Of Business, Hyderabad in 2010. Have been part of billion dollar companies such as Cheil-Samsung and Walt Disney as well as 0 to 1 (Times Now) and 1 to 10 (Bombay Shaving Company) startup journeys. The app got major traction with a million organic views within 2 days and was widely praised in the press, generating free media worth an estimated 35 million Rupees. The gadget won a bronze for video innovation at the Yahoo Big Chair Awards 2012.
  • Designed and implemented India’s first initiative to crowdsource the release plan for a movie, enabled by a Facebook app that let consumers decide which cities the indie film, Ship Of Theseus should release in. Resulted in the film releasing in 37 cities instead of the originally planned 9, with 72% theatre occupancy and 8X box office revenue compared to the average for a film of its size and genre. The web enabled demand measurement model and the resulting efficiencies generated by a platform release has now become an industry case study for releasing niche films.
