• Startup Weekend is a global grassroots movement of passionate leaders on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals, teams and communities. They are active, aspiring and empowered entrepreneurs who are learning the basics of founding startups and launching successful ventures.
• Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences designed to provide superior experiential education, where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas are viable. On average, half of Startup Weekend’s attendees have technical backgrounds, the other half have business backgrounds.
• Beginning with Friday night open mic pitches, attendees bring their best ideas and inspire others to join their team and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation. Over Saturday and Sunday teams focus on customer development, validating their ideas, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies and building a minimal viable product. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. • Applied various mathematical and statistical approaches using GLCM and Matlab to study different texture patterns in an image captured through a satellite.

Satellite image is taken as input & features are extracted using GLCM (Grey Level Co-Occurrence Matrix) & Wavelet transform algorithm.
