Saurabh S — CEO
Everyone has a fear of something. Fear of success, fear of failure, fear of heights, fear of death for sure and the list goes on and on. For me something worse than that, the fear of mediocrity. I have always had a fear of being the same. To be average is to survive, and to be exceptional is the only way to live. I’ve learned to look for contrast in life. Contrast separates things; it allows things to stand out. But contrast alone doesn’t do all the work. Contrast needs intent. Intention to do great work with inspiration. And sometimes inspiration comes from the fear that, this is all there is, and I’d better do something amazing while I am here. Fifteen years ago, I walked starry eyed into the hallways of an agency thinking In would be entrusted with the next big TVC, of course. In one word 'Hah'. Over the next two years, i scrubbed the decks like any other kid has to : buntings, danglers, packaging, birthday cards, adaptations, logos, scams, Getty Images and cutting pasting, and along the way, I learnt the ropes. I. Also learnt that while work is important, attitude is that much more so. That on some late nights before pitches, you might end up having the most interesting conversations you ever will. I learnt that it is possible to work with people who are absolutely insane. It is not possible to do interesting advertising if you don't have an interesting life. Having said all this, I did manage to do a few pieces of interesting work which did good for the client business and in a way won accolades nationally and internationally in creative advertising festivals like Cannes, Effies, Ad-fest Asia-Pac, London International, AAI Campaign of the year, AAI Goafest Abby's,etc. Having worked on a whole gamut of categories across ranging from Banking and finance, Telecom, fashion, FMCG, Real estate, pharma, lifestyle, travel, etc, for my clients, my keen interest area still remains fashion and automobiles and I am still keen to put life experiences into the ideas for my clients. Skill set: Varied and vast Experience and learnings in domains of print, new media, digital, TV, design and branding, Radio, Retail and Out of Home.
