• I was one of the two people responsible for business process optimization through technology across 4 sites of the Automotive Division - Nasik, Igatpuri, Haridwar and Zaheerabad. I studied various processes, target inefficiencies, developed solutions with different stakeholders involved, implemented the solution and supported developed system.
• Key Projects :
• Pictorial Quality Data Management System (PQDMS) : Led a team of 3 interns to devise an error detection system using portable computers. Reduced the defects by 70 % and helped save the company 80,000 pages which were used in earlier method per year.
• Error Proofing & Traceability System (EPTS) : Collaborated with the Ministry of Transportation and multiple departments within the company to understand mandated safety-parts for Mahindra vehicles; developed system to continuously track safety-parts installation in cars.
• Automated Line Feeding System : Led a team of 5 and created a system to ensure supply of parts in correct sequence on the assembly line. Optimized the previous system using integrated technology reducing wrong part fitment by 85% and saving 20,000 pages every month.
