• As the Director of Engineering for the Data and Analytics Platform, I lead the engineering teams responsible for building Yelp's data platform to enable faster data backed decision making. • Packetzoom offers Speed as a Service. The PacketZoom SDK can be dropped right into any mobile app and with a few integration steps, the app will start seeing results wrt speed ups. PacketZoom bases its speed improvements on a combination of proprietary protocols and CDN mechanisms. At packetzoom I:
• Develop, test and maintain the PZ web proxy which is written in Java
• Set up DevOps using the configuration management system SaltStack
• Set up and maintain the AWS EC2 infrastructure on which PZ runs
• Execute deployments across various regions on AWS
• Develop the front end that serves as a dashboard for users to add their apps and regulate the settings on PacketZoom for each app (http://packetzoom.com)

• Worked on architecting and developing SaaSEngine, a PaaS that would allow users to build SaaS apps, with the ability to customize at the form level, schema level and the database level via schema and hyper schema defined by us.

• I was at Hacker School, New York for 6 months and it easily was the best decision of my life. Hacker School is a programmer's retreat where programmers from all over the world (about 50 of us) gathered in Brooklyn New York for 3 months or more and hacked together for 8 hours, 4 days a week. I worked on technologies such as Node.js, Ruby, Python. I built a python interpreter based on parser combinators, wrote a css selector engine analogous to jQuery's Sizzle, built a game engine in Ruby, recreated super mario on python and worked on a live help portal on Node.js, to name a few projects.

• contributing to open source projects such as Flot and OpenHatch
