• At Independence Blue Cross, I served as an intern for the Corporate Development and Strategic Innovation Departments. In this role, I researched venture funds for strategic investment partnerships and helped maintain the portfolios established through the DreamIt Ventures Accelerator Program in partnership with Penn Medicine. With this work, I created market research overviews for potential investments, updated due diligence reports, and analyzed healthcare information technology trends.
• Additionally, I participated in the Independence Blue Cross Innovation Challenge. With this project, each group was tasked with finding a better way to implement innovative ideas created by Independence Blue Cross employees. I was the lead presenter for my group. I pitched our project in front of associates and executives at Independence Blue Cross and our group won first place.

• My responsibilities as a Business Development intern with DreamIt Ventures were specific to the DreamIt Health program in partnership with Independence Blue Cross and Penn Medicine. DreamIt Ventures selected 10 startups in the area of Healthcare Technology for preliminary stipends and participation in their incubator program. My role was to help the selected companies with their business development, marketing outreach, and social media.
