  • NASDAQ:TRUE
  • I wanted the company to focus on AI and growth
  • Company felt our data would get stolen by AI and bearish on embracing it.
  • Built new org structure combining product, technology, and analytics "TAP".
  • Took on ownership of Marketing
  • Created multiple KPI centric views that showed all core metrics were softening over time. Unique visitors were increasing significantly in cost, churn at all time high, prices were in accurate across the entire product, and that the main user had no reason to return ever.
  • To address the critical issues I drove multiple impactful projects to decrease CAC, and increased Conversion Rate. This created buffer for the organization to pursue its ultimate goal of "Selling a Car Online".

  • I held dual roles as CPO and CTO. We identified that one of our biggest blockers to growth was our ability to ship features at high velocity. I reorganised the entire 220 technology department into cross-functional business units focused on a shared goal. Started key infrastructure projects such as: Migrating organisation into the cloud, implementing a modern growth stack, said goodbye to bloated SAAS products, and renegotiated multiple contracts with multiple vendors. Hyper focus on stakeholder management as every key infrastructure project involves multiple risk across the business. Some call this a digital transformation but I prefer to call it migrating through chaos to find alignment.

Chief Product Officer

Jul 2018Feb 2020 · 1 yr 7 mos

  • After growing the product team, building a growth culture, and increasing our velocity I was promoted to Chief Product Officer. I managed a team of 53 people (product, design, data, growth, localisation). My area of responsibilities are the same but with one key difference:
  • Our ambition as a company is now 100x. Not 2x, not 3x, but 100x. We want to build the biggest, baddest, and dopest travel brand in the world.
  • Some logistical differences including hiring more middle managers to own areas I was very hands on with, finding team members that make up for my own weaknesses, and finally shift from delivering short term impact to building a brand with longevity.
