I am a geologist by training, and a computer programmer by practice. Since 2010 I've been working in Abingdon, near Oxford, first for the software consultancy Tessella, and later for the product company Preservica which broke out of it. I'm mostly a developer and software designer/architect but have also been involved with agile processes in both a contract and a product scenario. I also write things. I write technical blogs and articles, and conference talks, in my day job.
