About

Most companies know AI will reshape their industry. Very few know where it will actually create measurable business value. I work with CEOs and executive teams to identify high-ROI AI opportunities, design practical implementation roadmaps, and help organizations adopt AI in ways that improve revenue, margin, and operational efficiency. My perspective comes from two complementary vantage points: Operator – Founder, CTO, and builder of multiple technology companies over the past 25+ years, including an Inc. 500 fastest-growing company. Investor – Managing Partner at Sentiero Ventures, where I evaluate more than 1,000 AI startups each year, providing a front-row seat to emerging technologies and real-world AI applications across industries. This combination provides strong pattern recognition around which AI applications consistently deliver real ROI — and which are still hype. My exposure to AI began in the late 1990s working with early machine learning systems and has continued through multiple companies, consulting engagements, and venture investments. Today I advise leadership teams on how to translate the rapidly evolving AI landscape into practical operational advantage. Typical engagements include: • AI opportunity assessments • Executive AI strategy workshops • AI roadmap development • Fractional CTO / CAIO advisory roles • Operational automation initiatives • AI-driven analytics and decision intelligence programs Through Sentiero I review startups across the six major categories of enterprise AI: • Process Automation • Cognitive Insights / Decision Intelligence • Cognitive Engagement Systems • Data Infrastructure and Collection • AI Development Platforms and Tools • Generative AI Systems This exposure provides early insight into the technologies and approaches that are beginning to reshape established industries. Industries I have worked with include retail, travel, digital media, manufacturing, financial services, and professional services. If you are exploring how AI can create real competitive advantage in your organization, I welcome the conversation.
