Under his leadership, Moody’s embarked on a multi-year finance transformation to modernize systems, implement end-to-end generative AI and digital solutions, streamline processes, enhance data and analytics capabilities, and upskill its workforce for a digital future. In addition to his CFO responsibilities, Mark accelerated climate-related revenue growth while developing industry-leading expertise to help companies mitigate emerging risks and drive market transformation. He also navigated a complex geopolitical environment to solidify the market leadership of Moody’s domestic joint venture credit rating business in China. Prior to Moody’s, Mark was Chief Financial Officer of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual). He also held senior leadership roles at Voya Financial (formerly ING U.S.) in the U.S. and Asia-Pacific, including responsibility for developing and executing the company’s initial public offering. Having grown up in South Africa, Mark is passionate about fostering high-performing, transparent team cultures.
