Mariana Boar — Operations Associate
Manufacturing is not just what I do it’s who I am. I bring 10+ years of experience across automotive, aerospace, and complex manufacturing environments, with a career built from the shop floor up. This journey gives me a practical, people-focused understanding of how leadership, planning, and process decisions truly affect performance, quality, and safety. I started in production on the shop floor as a Robot Operator and Line Feeder, learning the importance of standard work, pace, safety, and respect for the people doing the job. From there, I progressed into a Team Leader role, leading teams of 30–50 operators in high-volume, quality-critical operations. This role strengthened my ability to balance delivery, people development, and continuous improvement. For the last 3 years, I have worked in Manufacturing Planning, coordinating closely with suppliers, logistics, production, and sales teams. My focus has been on production scheduling, material availability, chasing supply issues, supporting production, and aligning capacity and resources with real shop-floor conditions essential in both automotive and aerospace environments. Alongside my experience, I am studying Business and Management at London Metropolitan University, strengthening my leadership and strategic capability. My experience includes: Lean & CI: 5S, Standard Work, SOPs, TPM, Kanban, SMED, 7 Wastes Performance & Quality: KPIs, OEE, First/Last Off, compliance-driven quality People Leadership: recruitment, training, disciplinary procedures, temp staff management Health, Safety & Environment, including Fire Marshal Hands-on knowledge: auto presses, manual pressing, brake press, spot weld, MIG weld I care deeply about process discipline, safety, quality, and people. I believe strong manufacturing performance comes from trust, clear standards, and leaders who stay connected to the shop floor not micromanagement. Whether in automotive, or advanced manufacturing, I bring a mindset focused on doing things the right way, for the right reasons.
