• I engage in person and online with the worldwide Ops community on behalf of Microsoft. I have created and lead a global team of 18 folks who work in Azure engineering, connecting with technical communities in order to share their knowledge about the ecosystem and capture feedback on how to make things better. My teams cover the areas of: Modern Hybrid Infrastructure, Cloud Native & Security.
• I am a member of the Developer Relations Cloud Advocacy leadership team and focus on enabling cross team collaborations inside and outside of our organization.

• I was a Sr. Program Manager in the Azure Compute Linux team at Microsoft HQ in Redmond. I was responsible for a number of high profile projects involving internal partner organizations as well as external industry partners and customers. I handled account team escalations from the field with key fortune 500 customers and responded to architecture discussions around key technologies in the compute platform.
• Projects included:
• Lead engineering contact for multiple workstreams proving out the capabilities of partnering with Oracle to deliver a customer first experience across clouds, focusing on traditional Lift and Shift, App modernization, Identity, Serverless and Data analytics
• Primary technical contact for Oracle engineering regarding image publishing and technical capabilities on the Azure platform for interconnecting between clouds
• Engineering contact for RedHat CloudForms to enable cross cloud and on-premises management of IT Resources, including planning for Azure Stack expansion
• Primary engineering SME for Azure Compute VM documentation update for docs.microsoft.com
• Led evangelism efforts to empower and elevate the craft of storytelling in the Azure Compute PM team to create and produce top quality content and demos for internal and external use.

• I was one of four “Corp” based Technical Evangelist at Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond, Washington. I engaged the worldwide technical community at major conferences, work with product teams to refine their "content" for the IT Professional / LAN Admin / SysAdmin audience and connect with online technical communities.
• From a technology perspective I focused on Microsoft Azure and the Windows Server platform (current and future versions). I helped customers build solutions and architect designs to solve issues they are facing within their organization. I also created world class demos and scenarios that are relevant to organizations of all sizes so that I can speak at conferences and workshops worldwide.
• I promoted the craft of technical evangelism at Microsoft by working with the internal worldwide technical evangelism community and helping them refine and further develop their skills.

• I was hired as an IT Pro Evangelist into the newly formed Evangelist team at Microsoft Canada. I matured into the teams premiere storytelling expert and was promoted to a Senior IT Pro Evangelist. My role included being the human face to Microsoft at external engagements, professional associations, online networks and public forums. I nurtured, published and promoted stories from our broad audience that demonstrate how other IT professionals have succeeded in their careers by choosing our platform to better manage and deploy our products.
• Managing Audience Perception of Microsoft
• o As the subsidiary Technical Evangelist responsible for VMware compete and Private cloud strategy, I partnered with my Audience Marketing Manager and the BMO, to lead the development of the breadth strategy around how Microsoft drives its virtualization story across multiple products and audiences in order to increase market share.
• o Created an external advisory board for the VMware Compete initiative with partners and independent consultants from across Canada to inject “the customer voice” and develop an influential community, turning negative influencers into advocates.
• Technology Communication & Audience Approach:
• o I was a familiar technical face to Microsoft Canada supporting numerous PR efforts through television, radio and press interviews on various technologies and subsidiary priorities.
• o I created and managed our annual professional development workshop for over 150 external influencers and partners in order to improve their speaking skills, demo creation and storytelling craft for maximum audience impact and influence.
