My team consisted of about 65 on-roll and 700+ business development executives. As Director for the Flipkart Mobiles category, I was responsible for Product Strategy, Planning and Business Development. My team and I won the realme account and scaled it to over 5% share in just one year. I supported horizontal mandates such as brand licensing, affordability constructs, and monetization. ** Incubation & growth hacking - multiple businesses within established startups At Flipkart, I shipped eKart’s C2C courier service which enabled industry-first slotted door-step pick-up and packaging for parcels way back in 2016, solving for the trust, packaging and delivery speed. Consistently hit an NPS of 80+. It even integrated MapMyIndia’s location pin-drop and experimented with AR before it was a default in today’s apps. Super apps were not a thing yet, the independent high CAC, shut this business. As the founding member of Flipkart’s private brand, Billion, leveraged consumer insights to launch 50+ household, fashion and electronic products for the Indian middle class. Achieved sharp price points for ecommerce (optimizing packaging, supply chain costs, returns - 3x better than category averages), improved catalog, ran pricing and promotions, and fed-back reviews and ratings - 50bps better - to drive sales. ** Management consulting At BCG, I ran C-suite mandates on strategy and transformation. This is also where I honed my first-principles problem-solving, communication and influencing skills. I continued consulting within Flipkart as a founding member of the corporate strategy team. Gaining industry experience in ecommerce and digital, I consult independently and share my knowledge with the industry. I am now looking to commit to a longer-term mandate that leverages my expertise.
