• Designed and unified Sensity’s next-generation messaging specification / framework responsible for device-cloud communication. This involved liaising with Product Management, Cloud and Device teams to ensure transparency and consolidation amongst all products and the platform. Framework encapsulated REST principles implemented on top of MQTT and encoded using MessagePack
• Active contributor to the Cloud platform’s re-architecture to help scale utilising technologies like Kafka, MQTT, Cassandra, Docker and DCOS and also deep insight into device-cloud communication.
• Developed various Go-lang based libraries and core services for our embedded line of devices built on top of the Yocto Project.
• Embedded-Cloud integration and software lead responsible for ensuring consistent device to cloud platform communication using RESTPack-MQ.

• Developed USB device drivers to communicate between MCU (Marvell MC200) and cell modem (Quectel UC15) on the AT&T network for our next-gen wireless core node.
• Participated in cross-functional design and integration of new RF antenna between hardware and firmware teams to support power constraints. This included limiting max power transmission and data rate usage.
• Developed cross-platform SMS messenger tool in Python to communicate with cellular nodes on large-scale deployments to support QA and field operations via AT&T's GSM network and Jasper's SOAP web services. Monitoring, collecting and analysing node data was the intent of said tool.
• Developed device simulator (go-lang) to support scalability testing / development for the company's new cloud platform. This helped the platform team debug, stress test and provide feedback in horizontal scaling the cloud infrastructure.

• Developed firmware (C) and application software (C++) for a serial communications controller (Xport1000 series) and PowerPC embedded computer running VxWorks for a sonar interface for the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Tactical Data System. Protocols - TCP/IP, SDLC / HDLC
• Ported system application software from SPARC to Solaris x86
• Integrated NOAA Electronic Navigational Charts (ENC) for nautical tactical display to operate with radar and sonar. Required to develop a clean API for developer use and future capability.

• Developed a data mining application (Python) to fetch and and analyse product user data from a MySQL database. Its purpose was to aid in product usage identification and future design decisions. Analysis included identifying relationships among various product variables i.e. battery usage, software updates, volume control etc. through graphs and tabular data (csv).
• Integrated a power optimisation algorithm into product design to support extended battery life by 10%

• Primary task of designing and simulating a three-dimensional model of a 1MV high voltage divider in order to support testing, calibration and measurement of industrial high voltage equipment i.e. Transformers, bus bars, suspension insulators etc.
