• I led a fully remote group of 9 people in Brazil, Canada, and the US (8 Software Engineers and one QA Engineer). The team was responsible for building Appcues' web SDK and builder tools using React and Redux.
• During my time at Appcues:
• I hired and onboarded four team members, growing the team from 5 to 9
• I guided a Senior engineer to a promotion to Staff level, giving him the direction and support needed to successfully transition into that new role.
• I provided support to a newly promoted Principal Engineer who was struggling to step away from the code and be productive given the more ambiguous requirements of his new level.
• I led the team through a team split into two smaller more focused team, after growing the team from 5 to 9 people

• I worked in the Toronto office as lead developer and manager of a distributed development team of 6 people (5 devs and a QA engineer) building a SAAS BI web portal and data warehouse using Tableau, SQL Server, C# .NET, Python, AngularJS, and AWS services. Team members were located in Toronto, Cleveland, and Atlanta, with additional stakeholders located in Sydney
• I was originally hired as a Senior Developer at Cougar Software, and transitioned to management when MRI Software acquired Cougar
• Post-acquisition, I lead and grew the development team through the transition to MRI's corporate processes, working closely with Product Management, PMO and Release Engineering to ensure that the team velocity did not slow down while we transitioned our architecture to MRI's on-prem datacenters, and that our product could adapt to MRI's new broader vision
