Hi, I’m Guang Yang, a designer at Diconium, a subsidiary of Volkswagen Group IT. With a background in industrial design, I’ve had the opportunity to work with global brands like Lenovo, Samsung, and Thalia, gaining extensive experience in both the automotive and digital sectors. My current research focuses on understanding the different consumer and user needs between the EU and China, shaped by various factors such as history, digital ecosystems, and social and economic norms. I specialize in HMI, user experience, and software-defined vehicles, with a particular interest in bridging the cultural and market differences between these two regions.   • I was the solo UX designer work for the Douglas Guided Selling app, to enhance the purchasing experiences in store.
  • The Douglas Guided Selling app is a business app for the Douglas retail salesperson, enable them to browse the shop inventory, customer preferences & store regulations etc., in order to provide better consult and more pleasant shopping experiences for the customers in store, as well as serving as a training tool for the new staff.

  • Find out the issues to improve the general UX of the app and leading the concept design for the Douglas B2B app development.

  • 1. Plan for the long-term design scope and breakdown into varies of milestones, tasks & criteria;
  • 2. Prioritize & planning product UX improvements Collect the user feedback from the store management and user testing results, Communicate with PO and prioritize improvement tasks;
  • 3. Develop concepts for the product development, create wireframes and high fidelity prototypes to test with the focus group and evaluate the results for prove of concept;
  • 4. Work in agile with the developers for design support Create mobile design guide and graphic resources for the implementation phase.
