Sven is an integrative and dynamic Energy Leader with extensive experience across Renewables, Upstream Oil & Gas, LNG, and large‑scale decarbonisation infrastructure. He brings a strong track record in Senior Leadership, complex Project Development and Asset Management, having led major organisations and high‑value projects with significant business, safety, regulatory, and reputation responsibilities. He began his career in Upstream Oil & Gas before moving into the LNG business, where he held senior roles at Shell, including leading the Prelude Floating LNG facility through commissioning in Korea and into startup and operations in Australia. He later led the Shearwater cluster long‑term gas resource development, including a joint industry project to decarbonise and electrify Central North Sea production hubs. He now serves as Humber Expansion Manager at NEP, leading the maturation of the multi‑billion‑pound Humber Expansion CO₂ Transport and Storage project through development, to FID and into execution - advancing one of the UK’s most significant industrial decarbonisation initiatives. As a recognised leader in the Energy Transition, Sven also serves as a Director on the Board of the Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group (AREG).
