An accomplished career with Indian Navy as Captain, proudly served the nation on many a missions-critical assignment concerning national security and foreign policies. During my tenure at Indian Navy, I have formulated and overseen implementation of many policies to accomplish the objectives of nation’s security. I have been on multiple assignments with our global allies to further our relationship and worked in a diverse environment developing new relationships by building quick rapport with peers. I have liaised with national and state level bureaucrats to implement policies and have a deep understanding of working multiple government agencies. I am adept at managing large projects involving multiple groups of stakeholders, including central, state and civil agencies. I have prepared budget and financials for large projects and presented it to Naval leadership for approval and secured the funds from Ministry of Defence and managed the funds per the directives. I have been part of Defence Services Staff College aimed at developing our next gen leaders and mentoring them to achieve their full potential. I am an avid writer, have published papers on ‘Indo-US Orientation and its Impact on Iran’ and other topics of interest on geo-strategic affairs. Successfully undertook independant operations of the ship away from base port in India for 07 months, traversing 27,000 nautical miles, touched 13 ports in 09 countries with the continuous support from Indian Navy, MoD and MEA @ GoI. Had discussions with foreign Naval hierarchy/ diplomats/Public figures/business leaders. Also, embarked onboard young foreign naval officers and gave exposure to our naval training. Maintaining high morale and 'Op tempo' of the crew for such long duration, ensuring safety & security of the ship in adverse sea conditions of South China Sea with a unwavering commitment to the bigger picture - was the hallmark of the achievements of the team.
  • The ship, on return to Kochi, was received by Hon'ble Defence Minister, Diplomats and Commander-in-Chief of the Southern Naval Command. The ship was awarded 'Unit Citation-2013' for the successful accomplishment of mission.
